The Permanent Committee for
Organizing Conferences
The Permanent Committee for Organizing
Conferences was created in 2004 by decree Number 22
of the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. The concept is based on the belief by the
State of Qatar that many Issues and problems between
countries can be addressed by dialogue. The
Committee has since hosted tens of Arabic, regional
and international conferences, meetings, summits and
forums, tackling topics such as politics and
democratic changes; or economic, commercial and
scientific cooperation; and also interfaith and
inter-civilization dialogues in support of world
peace.
The Permanent Committee for Organizing
Conferences know-how
1. To deal with the logistics and the management of
the conferences organized by or assigned to the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with
the Ministry’s departments and the other relevant
governmental entities, according to the Conferences’
goals and issues at stake.
2. To propose a budget for these conferences, and to
coordinate efforts with other governmental entities,
according to the requirements and instructions from
higher authorities
3. To install and develop audit tools in order to
evaluate the job done during the conferences, and to
propose precise recommendations on how to improve
organization and management.
4. To deal with any other matter relevant to the
organization of the conferences that the Ministry
has entrusted the Committee with |
