Doha, October 12 (QNA) - Qatar will host the seventh Conference on Interfaith Dialogue on October 20 -21, under slogan "human solidarity". The two-day conference is being organized by the Doha international Centre for Interfaith Dialogue (DICID). DICID Chairman Dr. Ibrahim al Nuaimi told reporters that scholars from the world''s three major religions will discuss their common responsibilities to confront religiously -motivated wars and natural disasters. He said that the common spiritual values would be one of the subjects to be discussed. Al Nuaimi also said that the delegates will also take up, from a religious point of view, the reasons for the economic recession and ways to solve them. The Conference will also discuss Jerusalem and ways to defend the holy places there. Dr. Aisha al-Mannai, the dean of the Sharia Department at Qatar University said that the Israeli aggression against Gaza earlier this year would be one of the topics. She said the conference this year should be held with mentality of accepting others (their religions) and a desire to know more about them.
