Dy PM meet visiting foreign leaders
HH the Emir,
Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, yesterday received at
his Emiri Diwan office the former US president, Bill
Clinton, who is currently visiting Qatar for the
conference on enriching the Middle East's economic
future.
The meeting was attended by the Emiri Diwan chief HE
Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Saud al-Thani.
The First Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister, HE Sheikh
Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani, met Clinton
separately.
The meeting was also attended by HE Sheikh Jabor bin
Youssuf al-Thani, the director of the office of the
First Deputy Premier.
The First Deputy Premier also met yesterday Lebanese
National Assembly member Bahiyah al-Hariri, who is
currently visiting Qatar for the conference.
Talks dealt with a review of topics tabled on the
conference's agenda, in addition to relations between
the two countries in various fields.
The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Jabor bin
Youssuf al-Thani and the Lebanese Ambassador to Doha,
Hassan Youssuf Saad.
The First Deputy Premier also met Japanese Member of
Parliament (MP) and member of the Japanese Liberal
Party, Masahiko Koumura, who is in Doha for the
conference.
Issues on the conference's agenda and bilateral
relations were reviewed.
The meeting was also attended by HE Sheikh Jabor bin
Youssuf al-Thani and members of the delegation
accompanying the Japanese parliamentarian. – QNA
