Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa said the meeting, which gathers a number of thinkers and politicians from the different parts of the world, will discuss the situation in the region from highly sensitive perspectives mainly the Iranian position regarding the nuclear weapons.
In a speech he gave before the opening session, Moussa underlined that talks, regarding the Iranian nuclear programme, should focus on the nuclear situation in the region in general and not only the Iranian situation.
He said it is of important significance that the meeting should discuss means of attaining peace in the region, underlining that such stability could not be achieved without finding a just solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict via the establishment of the State of Palestine on all its territories in the West Bank and Gaza strip with East Jerusalem as its capital.
