OIC Secretary General Ihsanoglu says mutual understanding is necessary condition for enhanced US-Islamic world relationships

​In his remarks at the opening of the 8th US-Islamic World Forum, Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu mentionned various issues that impair the USA relationships with Islam, including with its own muslim population. He talked about the Organization of the Islamic Conference's efforts to address those questions and hoped the Forum will make concrete proposals in this regard.

Poll shows Americans favoring political changes in the Arab world

​A poll conducted by the Anwar Sadat Chair for Peace and Development and the Program on International Policy Attitudes at the University of Maryland finds a  majority in favor of democratization in the Arab world even if detrimental to the US interests. It also shows a better opinion about Arabs since the changes have taken place.
